(Sealed Sphere) The crystal sphere that
houses this system is invisible to normal sight in the phlogiston. Due to
divine cloaking magic, only elves may see it with the naked eye, and even
then only if they know what theyre looking for. True seeing and similar
divinations reveal the sphere shell to both elves and non-elves, however.
The warping magic that hides the sphere also prevents passing vessels from
dropping out of spelljamming speed, so they do not suspect a nearby body.
Any craft are merely diverted around the shell, without adding travel time
to a passing ships voyage.
Even if found, however, the crystal sphere has no naturally occurring
portals. In order to pass through the shell, an elf must voluntarily open
a portal. (Thus the nickname The Sealed Sphere in elvish legends.)
Create Portal cast by any free-willed* elf works normally, and elven
clerics of Correlon Larethian who are familiar with the sphere may simply
speak a prayer in honor of CyPren the Fairy Queen to create a portal.
*By free-willed, it means that no charmed or otherwise forcibly compelled
elf will have the ability to create a portal into the sphere.

Suryn [l
size H, fire body, (0) moons] |
Escape time: 24 turns |
|
| |
This is the primary for the system, a blazing
yellow sun in the center of the sphere. |

Kyral [l
size G, earth body, (1) moons: Missos] |
Escape time: 12 turns |
|
| |
A habitable planet 8,250 miles in diameter
with five large continents and several smaller island chains. It has
approximately 70% deep saltwater ocean coverage. Many mountains and
forests dot the continents. It has a temperate climate, with a solar orbit
of 360 days. It revolves clockwise, placing sunrise in the west. |

|
| |
Missos [l
size B, earth body] |
Escape time: 2 turns |
|
| |
Kyrals moon is a barren, hot ball of sand. Practically waterless, the
surface temperatures in the day reach 120 degrees and at night drop to 50
degrees. It has one lunar cycle every 30 days. |

Vistrilon [l size G, earth body, (1) moons: Rivsha] |
Escape time: 12 turns |
|
| |
An arid, temperate planet. The planet is one large landmass with several
dozen large, shallow fresh-water seas spaced out over approximately 20% of
the surface. There are very few forests, and mountain ranges tend to be
small. Vistrilons 360-day orbital trajectory exactly mirrors that of
Kyral, so that neither planet can ever be seen from the other. (The word
vistriellon is elvish for twin sister.) |

|
| |
Rivsha [l
size B, earth body] |
Escape time: 2 turns |
|
| |
This moon is fairly
featureless (much like Missos), only instead of sand
the surface is rock and gravel. The daily temperature has a bit less
fluctuation, between 95 degrees (day) and 60 degrees (night), and water is
more commonly found. Orbiting Vistrilon quickly, it goes through a lunar
cycle every 15 days. |

Tayorala [c
size J, air body, (0) moons] |
Escape time: 96 turns (16 hrs) |
|
| |
This planet is a massive vaporous gas cloud in a roughly spherical shape
that orbits the primary approximately once every 225 years. There are rare
tiny bits of earth matter floating in the air body, and some water vapor
clouds, but Tayorala is comprised mostly of harmless phosphorescent pale
green and blue gases and immense dust clouds blown about by winds ranging
in power from gentle breezes to hurricane gales. |

Stars
This systems stars are mammoth clusters of brilliantly reflective
quartz-like crystals along the inner sphere surface; fields tens of
thousands of miles in diameter, reflecting Suryns light. (Beings with
unprotected eyes that approach a stars surface run the risk of being
struck blind by the reflected glare.) The low crystal mountains of these
star plains are frequently separated by immense stretches of powdery
crystalline sand deserts. There is no known plant life capable of
surviving in the mineral soil here.
