two weeks' time:
The top row is
consecutive days of rest the PC takes.
The bottom row is
total HP regained from the days of rest.

So by the third day of rest, PCs have healed 4 total points; by the
seventh day, 14 points. After a fortnight's recuperation, a PC may
have healed 51 total points of damage.
Characters with Constitution Modifiers
add their bonus to this healing rate. If a PC's Con modifier is a
penalty, such as the -1 that a Con of seven incurs, then this is
the number of days of rest required before any natural healing
begins.
