Chart:
- #'s indicate the roll or greater on a d20 needed to turn creatures of that
power level.
T = creatures are automatically turned by the cleric.
-
A successful
turning indicates that the affected creatures avoid the cleric to the best of their
abilities.
-
Stronger undead may not actually flee, but will take no direct
action against the
cleric for the duration of the turning effects.
D = the creatures are automatically destroyed by the cleric.
- = the cleric may not yet normally affect creatures
of this power level.
|
|
Range:
The range of
turning is line-of-sight from the undead to the cleric.
|
|
Number:
1d12
creatures are affected normally, but a "D+"
indicates that d6+6 are affected.
|
|
Duration:
Creatures
turned are affected for (24- # needed to turn on the chart) hours.
|
|
Notes:
-
Clerics may attempt to turn in addition to other actions, if they can present their holy symbol.
-
A cleric may only attempt to turn a particular group of undead once. If the undead are not affected
by that attempt, then they are safe from further attempts by that same cleric until the cleric gains another level.
-
Against a mixed group of undead, clerics roll once for the entire group. A successful turning progressively
affects the least to most powerful, up to the total number turned.
-
Paladins turn as a cleric two levels lower than their paladin level.
-
Evil clerics may choose to control affected undead instead of turning them.
